FEDERAL HILL COMMUNICATIONS PARTNERS WITH TELCOTV SHOW
PRODUCERS TO ADDRESS PROGRAMMING AND LICENSING ISSUES
FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS

September 7, 2005 -- Los Angeles and San Juan Capistrano, CA – Federal Hill Communications, a global leader in on-demand content strategy, negotiations and solutions has been selected as the exclusive Content Advisor to the TelcoTV Conference & Expo. Federal Hill Communications will advise and assist Shorecliff Communications with the recruitment of senior level content & programming executives to participate as speakers at the annual trade show. TelcoTV Conference & Expo (November 8-10, 2005 at the San Diego Convention Center) has established itself as the leading event for telecom service providers entering the competitive video space.

“As telecommunications companies enter the competitive entertainment marketplace it is imperative for them to understand “what it takes” to offer content from the studios, from the broadcasters and the independents. It’s essential that Telco’s differentiate themselves from the current cable and satellite offerings. The most important deliverable for any successful on-demand system is Content and our desire is to educate the telecoms in understanding the entertainment industry from the content and financial perspective. This will help them early on in their decision making process. That’s why we felt that “entertainment panels” can accomplish this goal. We feel that Telco TV is the right conference to support this content initiative,” said Bethany Gorfine, President and CEO of Federal Hill Communications.

“Shorecliff Communications is pleased to be partnering with Federal Hill Communications for the upcoming TelcoTV Conference. We believe that by expanding the focus of the tradeshow to encompass more entertainment panels with leading industry executives participating will be the perfect environment in which to assist our telecom attendees. Federal Hill understands the pertinent issues for doing business with content providers in an IPTV world as well as having long established studio and programming relationships. It is a natural fit to align with one another,” said Carolyn Herr, Events Director, Shorecliff Communications.

The educational sessions at TelcoTV will tackle some of the key issues for both Telco’s and programmers including, Negotiating Licensing Agreements for Distribution over IP, Innovative Advertising Models in a DVR World, Inside the Mind of a Programmer, Content Protection and DRM: Meeting the Demands of Hollywood, Shrinking Release Windows: What it Can Mean to Your Business and more.

Already confirmed to speak are, Albert Cheng, SVP, Business Strategy and Development of ESPN & Disney Media; Jamie McCabe, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Pay Per View & Video on Demand at Twentieth Century Fox; Timothy Hanlon, Senior Vice President of Publicis Groupe; Cathy Hetzel, Senior Vice President of Rentrak; Channing Dawson, SVP Emerging Media at Scripps Network, with more to be announced shortly.
