MTS Allstream Partners With Warner Bros. International Television
Distribution to Deliver Hit Movies Through MTS Video On Demand

Winnipeg, MB and Burbank, Calif., April 25, 2006 – MTS Allstream and Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD) have just signed a multi-year video on demand (VOD) agreement which will provide MTS Video On Demand with a slate of new theatrical motion pictures from Warner Bros. The announcement was made today by Kelvin Shepherd, President, Consumer Markets, MTS Allstream Inc. and Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television.

The agreement gives MTS Allstream the VOD rights to current feature films distributed by WBITD, including Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, North Country and Must Love Dogs, among others, enabling the company to increase the number of movies in its MTS Video On Demand library.

“This partnership with Warner Bros. will bring a new level of entertainment to the homes of each and every MTS TV subscriber,” said Kelvin Shepherd, President, Consumer Markets, MTS Allstream Inc. “Our MTS TV service has been wildly successful and now all of our subscribers–more than 50,000 of them – will have access to more great movie titles through MTS Video On Demand.”

“We’re excited to establish this relationship with MTS TV and to be able to provide new and compelling entertainment content to Canadian viewers,” said Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television. “Consumers today have more choices than ever for entertainment, and we are proud to offer some of the finest motion pictures in the world for on-demand viewing via MTS Video On Demand.”

With MTS Video On Demand, customers can use their remote control to order from a great selection of movie titles and other programs with the ability to watch them as many times as they want, whenever they want, within a 24-hour period.

MTS Video On Demand users can:

  • Pause, rewind, fast forward, stop, and play the movie using the MTS TV remote control – no extra equipment required.
  • Watch free movie trailers to help them decide what to watch before making a selection.
  • Enjoy pricing that’s similar to prices in video rental stores – ranging from $0.99 for kids’ programs to $4.99 for new releases – without the inconvenience of having to go out to get a movie, or to return it. VOD charges conveniently appear on the customer’s monthly phone bill.

Bundled MTS TV customers who receive discounts of $10 for any two or $15 for all three of MTS TV, MTS Wireless, and MTS High Speed Internet are now eligible to receive an additional $5 discount by adding AAA Alarms to their bundle – that’s a total monthly savings of $20. In addition, for even more savings, bundled customers can subscribe to MTS’s $15 flat-rate long distance plan, giving MTS bundled customers great bundle choices and savings.
