TELUS and Twentieth Century Fox partner on TELUS TV Video on Demand
First distribution partnership with major studio

Vancouver, B.C. and Beverly Hills, CA. – TELUS today announced a long-term agreement with major Hollywood film studio Twentieth Century Fox to offer Fox's movies on the recently launched TELUS TVTM service. Blockbuster Fox hits such as Fantastic 4, Kingdom of Heaven, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Robots, and other classic Hollywood movies, will be offered on a video on demand basis to TELUS TV customers.

"TELUS is an industry leader in providing innovative products and services to its customers and Twentieth Century Fox is proud to be the first major Hollywood studio to partner with TELUS on their launch of this new and exciting home entertainment service," said Jamie McCabe, senior vice president, Pay per View and Video on Demand, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation.

“Fox's impressive line-up of current feature films and extensive library of motion pictures is a core element of our new TELUS TV Video on Demand product offering,” said Fred Di Blasio, vice-president, Consumer Product Marketing, TELUS. “Our customers can count on a top notch selection of quality movies from Fox and TELUS.”

The technology behind TELUS TV allows customers to watch the movies they want, when they want, rather than wait for pre-designated start times. Movies are accessed through a digital set-top box and a customer's television. Just like a DVD player or VCR, customers have complete control including the ability to fast forward, rewind, pause or stop a movie, and can view it as often as desired during a 24-hour period.
