News SaskTel Twentieth Century Fox and SaskTel Announce Video-on-Demand Agreement REGINA, Dec. 3 /CNW/ - SaskTel today announced a long-term agreement with Twentieth Century Fox to provide movies for SaskTel's Max Front Row(TM) Video on Demand service. This agreement represents a significant expansion in the variety and quality of content available to SaskTel's Max Front Row customers from a top Hollywood studio. "SaskTel is a leader in providing innovative products and services to its customers and Twentieth Century Fox is very pleased to be one of the first major Hollywood studios to partner with SaskTel on this new and exciting home entertainment service," said Jamie McCabe Senior Vice President of Worldwide Pay-Per-View and Video on Demand, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation. "Fox's impressive line-up of current feature films and existing library of motion pictures is a valuable addition to our Max Front Row product offering" said Robert Watson, SaskTel President and CEO. "Our over 25,000 Max customers will now be able to expand their viewing options with an outstanding selection of titles from one of Hollywood's truly major studios." With Max Front Row viewers do not have to watch movies at pre-designated times, unlike traditional pay-per-view services. Customers can also enjoy all the benefits of renting a movie without ever leaving their homes. Movies are accessed through a set-top box and a customer's television for a set period of time and can be viewed as often as desired during that period. Just like a DVD player or VCR, customers have complete control, including the ability to fast forward, rewind, pause or stop the movie. Fox will supply SaskTel with an impressive lineup of current releases, including Man On Fire, The Girl Next Door, Johnson Family Vacation, Garfield: The Movie, The Day After Tomorrow and The Clearing, as well as a variety of hit movies such as Big, Home Alone, Doctor Dolittle, and Die Hard from its existing film library.
